Short Work Week

I am back in the office today wondering where the week went? I am not complaining because I did have a nice long weekend. Have a couple of projects to wrap up. A binding needed and instructions written out. It weather will be getting in the triple digits so thats a good excuse to stay in the studio. How many of us creative people have time management problems ...? What's your best solution ?

New Pattern Spring Market

For all of my design friends heading to Spring Market in Portland I will miss. Send pictures please. I will miss all the new fabrics and trends. But will be at Fall Market in Houston. I needed to stay and work on my new patterns for new fall catalog and release.
My new applique quilt called "Rainbow Birds" is at Joyful Quilter being quilted now. Excited to see Pam do her magic. It is 9- 12" applique blocks. With a checkerboard border. Will be finishing it off with a prairie point border binding. Should be striking. Here is a look at the top. Will be available on our website when finished. Hopefully for a July premier.

TELAS DeLa VIDA

Happy Monday I am sitting at my laptop in my pink robe with a cup of coffee. Trying to recuperate from the busy quilt show weekend. But I wanted to share with you the beautiful Rebozo show done by so many talented women of The East Los Angeles stitchers TELAS . I am very proud to say I am a member of this powerful and inspiring group. Bravo Ladies Bravo!

Okay how can I move my studio out into the beautiful sunshine here. Motivation to design or lay in the sun. Need to set a new quilt pattern design or sit on the porch? decisions decisions.

A beautiful spring day here and soon it will be summer. Thinking of all the designs I need to finish and get off the someday pile. So jump into spring and get to working.
Today I will be cutting fabric for my next show,
"Quilting in the Valley" in San Fernando Valley CA.
Here is my new apron pattern. One apron that is changable for each holiday using your favorite dish towel. The little pins button on the front of apron. Now only one apron in the kitchen instead of twelve?  Have a great week everybody.

Friendship Day

How many of you out their have the opportunity to share your love of quilting with a group. I have know these eight ladies for almost twenty years. We have all shared so much besides quilting. Children,weddings,graduations,births,lose. These girls keep me balanced and I love all of them. Quilters are special and my group is extra special to me. So if you have a group already or thinking of joining one do it. It will warm you heart and feed the creative soul in you.
